To see clearly by faith, you have to do away with sin. Sin attracts demonic activity, which results in a primary purpose of limiting you, as a believer, from serving God effectively. Sin limits your performance for God. But when you repent of it, you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you properly, thereby becoming effective in the work God has called you to do. Your faith is essential to lift up others who are in difficulties: Mark 2:1-5.
If you base your faith on the knowledge of God, you will be effective.
